Lighting solution upgrade for La Table Hanoia

Fine dining restaurant at Press Club Hanoi featuring the renowned MOVE IT 25 systems by XAL.

It was a much greater challenge to overcome and upgrade the existing lighting system in a completed space, rather than creating a lighting solution along with the architectural and interior design from the beginning. We are proud to have gone through the journey and shared the work with the international lighting consultancy kobilighting studio to dismantle the existing lighting equipment and replace it with a solution commensurate with the space it deserves.

The Swiss architectural team of G8A Architects realized the idea of a luxury restaurant, a bridge from the past, a building with historical elements and many memories of the time when the country was just beginning to open its doors, to the present, the new dynamic lifestyle of Hanoians, business people as well as visiting tourists. The Press Club building, which has been in operation since 1997, is located between the Hanoi Opera House and the Metropole Hotel, was built with the vision of being a gathering place for the spirit of development and reconstruction, for entrepreneurs, writers, journalists and foreign experts, a place for them to discuss and meet. The new restaurant, named La Table Hanoia, is a high-class cocktail bar and a fine dining restaurant, established in 2021, on the third floor of the building. The project aims to preserve Hanoi's French architectural heritage and Vietnamese lacquer art as well as Hanoi's culture.
